As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents through your visible presence and professional conduct. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the location in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the government site and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential threats.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain awareness of activities within the location.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents, observations, and patrol activities as required by Allied Universal and the site policies.
  • Interact professionally with employees, visitors, and/or members of the public while maintaining a visible security-related presence.
  • Support emergency response activities in accordance with site-specific procedures and Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Remain alert to surroundings and report any suspicious activity or irregularities to the appropriate authorities or Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
