Pay Rate: $16.78 plus 0.45 shift differential " This position is considered - Safety Sensitive - which requires the passing of an independently administered drug screen " GENERAL DESCRIPTION: This position is responsible for the daily setup and operation of box-making machines. The goal is to ensure the appropriate boxes are produced, production lines operate without delays, and products are handled adequately to maintain safe quality food (SQF). MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS/DUTIES OF THE POSITION: * Conduct daily inspections to ensure that equipment and the environment are in safe operating condition. * Communicate with the packaging team to determine necessary changeovers and replenishments. * Operate the box-making machinery and supply it with flat stock. * Transport pallets of box stock using a pallet jack. * Keep the work area clean and free of debris. * Manually make boxes as needed. * Replenish the glue dispenser. * Perform any other duties assigned by your supervisor. Required Skills
JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES: SKILLS: Good oral communication skills are required. Mechanical experience is desirable. ADDITIONAL: Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented food processing environment. The ability to work independently with limited supervision is essential. Regular and acceptable attendance is required, along with the ability to follow directions, interact well with co-workers, and understand and adhere to posted work rules and procedures.
