This Position reports to:

Team Leader

ABB's Electrification business has always been at the forefront of innovative electrification and today is writing the future of sustainable, safe and smart electrification.
As a Sustainability LCA Specialist you will contribute to execution of ABB sustainability strategy 2030, supporting Divisions in preparation of LCAs (Life Cycle Assessments) and EPDs (Environmental Product Declarations) of their products. As a part of Sustainability Competence Center you will utilize your knowledge and skills to support ABB in relentless endeavors to reduce the impact of its activities and products on the environment.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to ABB's success with technology, software, product, and system development. Each day, you will identify and implement innovative solutions to relevant problems. You will also showcase your expertise by providing ideas and by being able to work both independently and as a part of a Research & Development (R&D) team.

The work model for the role is: hybrid #LI-hybrid

This role is contributing to the ABB's Electrification in Poland.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Managing consulting projectsaddressing Life Cycle Assessment, product sustainability strategy.

  • Creating life cycle assessment models of a product in SimaPro software.

  • Preparing EPD documents and conducting the certification process.

  • Analysis of manufacturing process data and developinglife cycle inventories.

  • Writing ISO 14040/44 compliant reports documenting yourproject work.

  • Working with Excel (or other data formats) tomanipulate data and data structures.

  • Performing analysis on energy, water, waste, andemissions.

  • Working together with Corporate Technology Center team members acrossdifferent business areas and regions

Qualifications for the role :

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Science or related field - preferably environmental science/technology.

  • Knowledge and passion for sustainability, environmental systems, life cycle thinking, product sustainability.

  • Strong quantitative or technical background with an excellent aptitude for analytical thinking. Natural curiosity to investigate issues, conduct research, design solutions and translate results into business practices.

  • Aptitude for learning new software - basic programming experience will be beneficial.

  • Good written and spoken communication skills in English.

  • Self-motivated and organized; able to simultaneously work on multiple assignments and to work both independently as well as on teams.

  • Proficiency with MS Office, particularly Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
