What to Expect
As a Supply Chain Analyst supporting vertical integration at Tesla, you will analyze supply chain data and processes to optimize sourcing, reduce dependencies on external suppliers, and enable integration of in-house production capabilities. This role requires a detail-oriented analyst with analytical and problem-solving skills to forecast demand, mitigate risks, and drive cost efficiencies in alignment with Tesla's vertical integration strategy. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams in procurement, engineering, and operations to build supply networks, adapt to market dynamics and disruptions, and contribute to Tesla's mission of accelerating the world's transition to sustainable energy through supply chain excellence.
What You'll Do
- Track, report, and proactively manage profit improvement initiatives, such as design proposals and supply chain optimizations for existing and new charging products and programs
- Analyze supply chain data to identify cost-saving opportunities, bottlenecks, and efficiency gains across global suppliers
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and finance, to support commodity management (e.g., structural or centrally sourced components)
- Monitor supplier performance, regulatory compliance, and inventory levels to ensure on-time delivery and quality standards
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and forecasts using tools like Excel, SQL, or ERP systems to drive data-informed decisions
- Support global regulatory information requests and investigations related to supply chain operations
- Work on sustainability initiatives, such as reducing carbon footprint in sourcing and logistics
What You'll Bring
- Degree in Business, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of experience in supply chain management, commodity management, or analytics, ideally in automotive, manufacturing, or high tech industries
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Python/SQL) and supply chain software (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
- Strong understanding of global supply chain dynamics, including sourcing, logistics, and risk management
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with diverse teams, including leadership, IT specialists, and external suppliers
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with a focus on innovation and sustainability (aligning with Tesla's mission)
- Experience with automotive or EV supply chains, and knowledge of lean manufacturing principles preferred

Expected Compensation
- Associate Supply Chain Analyst - $54,000 - $81,000/annual salary
- Supply Chain Analyst - $68,400 - $102,600/annual salary
- Sr Supply Chain Analyst - $79,200 - $118,800/annual salary
+ cash and stock awards + benefits for all levels
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
