Job Description Oversees the development, coordination and administration of research policies, services and programs; evaluates and ensures efficient and effective operational performance as related to research. Participates in the development and implementation of service line's financial and strategic planning activities around research. Facilitates quality improvement initiatives and integration of organization values. Job Responsibility
- Leads the Clinical Research function by developing leaders and driving programs and initiatives that support and impact the overall Northwell health system goals.
- Develops and articulates a long-term strategic vision for areas of responsibility.
- Promotes quality and productivity improvements through involvement in the development of improved research procedures, process innovations and changes which support the strategic direction.
- Coordinates, develops and executes public relations and communication programs for internal and external audiences; directs the research, development and implementation of marketing policies, plans and procedures which capitalize on current and future research market opportunities.
- Researches, develops and coordinates the implementation of strategic plans, policies and standards regarding research to include maximizing market share, growth strategies, expense control, space allocation, and technological equipment and information systems purchases.
- Monitors fiscal operations including, fiscal accounting, reporting and control; billing and payroll; third party reimbursement and contracting; regulatory cost reporting, internal auditing and budget coordination and forecasting.
- Reviews and directs the planning, design, implementation and support of information systems, networks, and applications to support research operations.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, tax laws, and regulatory agency standards of compliance and health system's corporate compliance program.
- Evaluates and directs the assessment of services and development of new programs and research projects that support strategic operational goals.
- Directs the implementation of human resources plans to achieve strategic goals and objectives including organizational development, recruiting, compensation, training and development, employee engagement and relations.
- Selects, develops, manages, and evaluates direct reports; oversees the selection, development, management, and evaluation of indirect reports.

Job Qualification
- Master's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- 10-12 years of relevant experience and 7+ years of leadership / management experience, required.
