As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol Team in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail and mall locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing an exceptional customer experience. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail location and its perimeter, observing for any security-related concerns.
• Assist in helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior within the retail environment.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to Allied Universal and site procedures.
• Collaborate with retail management and/or law enforcement as needed during incidents or emergencies.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disruptions and provide reassurance to clients and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
