Emplify Health is seeking a Chargemaster Analyst to join our team!

The Chargemaster Analyst ensures accurate charge capture and compliance across hospital and clinic charge masters. This role manages updates, leads revenue enhancement projects, and provides application support. The analyst collaborates with Finance, Compliance, and IT teams to optimize billing processes and maintain regulatory standards.

Major Responsibilities Include:

  • Work with PBS department colleagues and all end users to provide timely, respectful, and comprehensive communication for the purpose of customer satisfaction.

  • Research areas of particular sections as to the services being provided, how currently being charged out, and the reimbursement regulations to maintain compliance in all the respective sections.

  • Coordinate, monitor and implement all changes to the hospital or clinic charge master.

  • Educate and communicate with departments as to accurate charge capture mechanisms in relation to revenue enhancement projects.

  • Able to substantiate the research in a format of mathematical and analytical reasoning.

  • Work in conjunction with the Finance and Compliance departments to ensure success for the organization as a whole.

  • Maintain all standard fields in the charge master/fee schedule in accordance with organization policies.

  • Work with Information Systems/Patient Business Services to ensure that the appropriate charge master/fee schedule information is placed on the claim.

  • Demonstrate problem solving, leadership skills, conflict management and team building skills in order to ensure a productive work environment.

  • Continuously stays abreast of new billing and coding regulations by utilizing appropriate reference materials, internet resources, seminars, or other resources.

  • Perform work within the functional area under general direction with accountability for specific goals/objectives.

  • Adheres to regular and predictable attendance.

  • Performs other job-related responsibilities as requested.

What's Available:

  • Fulltime, 80 hours biweekly (1.0 FTE)

  • Monday-Friday core business hours

  • Remote work options for residents in WI, MN, or IA only, with occasional need to work onsite for support initiatives

An Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Finance or Information Technology or Accounting or a related field

  • Experience: 5-7 years 7 years experience with clinic/hospital billing systems.

  • Certifications: Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA)

  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.

  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills; comfortable presenting to executive leadership.

  • Collaboration: Builds strong cross-functional relationships

  • Attention to Detail: Ensures accuracy in charge capture, compliance, and financial reporting.
