Salary/Grade: EXS/32
Target hiring range for this position will be between $50,000-$70,000 per year. Offered salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
Job Summary:
The Assistant Men's Soccer Coach reports to the Head Men's Soccer Coach and assists in all aspects related to the Men's Soccer program. This is a full-time appointment renewable on a contract basis

*Willingness and ability to work a non-traditional schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays as required
Specific Responsibilities:
Coaching
- Assist the Head Coach in coaching and training the Northwestern Men's Soccer team. Coaching responsibilities include but are not limited to; develop and conduct all in-season and out-of-season sessions Assist in video analysis, data analysis and scouting of opponents.
Administrative
- Must be fully knowledgeable and adhere to all rules and regulation of the NCAA, Big Ten Conference and Northwestern University.
- Administrative responsibilities include work with appropriate NUDAR staff
- Cooperate with the Athletic Communications department and Marketing department in publicizing and marketing Northwestern Soccer.
- Develop and maintain all statistical performance records for individual student-athletes and the team.
- Supervise and inventory all soccer equipment.
- Responsible for all compliance related administration.
- Assist with monitoring the academic progress of student-athletes.
- Proficient in video analysis software and data analysis monitoring systems.
Recruiting
- Recruiting responsibilities include coordinate and supervise all recruiting efforts and establish and maintain all files on prospective student-athletes.
Other
- Responsible for adhering to all Department and University policies and procedures, as well as the rules, regulations, bylaws and interpretations of the Big Ten Conference, CSC and the NCAA.
- Responsible for adhering to all Department and University continuing education initiatives and required certifications and trainings.
Miscellaneous
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree; OR appropriate combination of education and experience.
Previous experience as a student-athlete or coach at the Division I level
Ability to work cooperatively with others and effectively interact and establish engaging relationships with a wide variety of constituents.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of rules and regulations of the NCAA, CSC, Big Ten Conference and Northwestern University preferred
Master's degree preferred or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience from which comparable skills and abilities may be acquired.
Previous Successful experience as coach at the Division I level or professional level with recruiting experience
