POSITION SUMMARY

The Supply Chain 3rd Party Providers Analyst ensures robust financial and operational controls across international freight (import/export). This role mitigates risk by resolving issues, performing root cause analysis, and delivering actionable insights and recommendations.

This role is responsible for delivering timely, actionable analyses and data-driven recommendations to optimize international freight operations. The Analyst will influence business partners to drive decisions that improve performance, reduce costs, and strengthen compliance with Nestle policies.

Core responsibilities include monitoring KPIs, ensuring accurate cost allocation, and performing root cause analysis to eliminate waste and enhance governance frameworks. The position requires strong collaboration across Supply Chain, Finance, Transportation, and Operations teams to resolve issues, align priorities, and implement sustainable solutions.

The ideal candidate will excel at prioritizing complex workloads in a fast-paced environment, think strategically, and influence stakeholders to adopt best practices. This role supports the Finance Manager in streamlining processes, improving visibility to spend, and elevating control frameworks across international freight programs. Success in this position offers opportunities to manage projects, drive continuous improvement, and contribute to long-term business objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze international freight discrepancies and disputes; perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to strengthen process accuracy and controls.
  • Ensure freight payments and accruals are accurate, timely, and aligned with contractual terms; validate multi-vendor charges and highlight exceptions or risks.
  • Conduct high-level payment and account reconciliation to vendor terms, flagging variances, non-compliance, or emerging risks.
  • Maintain oversight of vendor account health and escalate material issues to appropriate partners.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain, Finance, Procurement, and Operations to resolve disputes, improve cost allocation accuracy, and reinforce control compliance.
  • Identify control gaps within international freight processes and recommend solutions that mitigate financial and operational risk.
  • Maintain and update the International Freight Framework, ensuring processes, PO conditions, and IMS guidelines remain accurate and properly documented.
  • Assist in creating and standardizing new processes and documentation as the international freight program evolves.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation, explanations, and evidence of control adherence.
  • Develop and monitor KPIs to track payment accuracy, timeliness, discrepancies, and spend trends; deliver reporting that provides actionable insights.
  • Prepare updates for monthly operational reviews, including vendor account status, KPIs, risks, and opportunities.
  • Assist in period-end close reporting and prepare/review journal entries
  • Conduct financial and operational analysis to identify cost drivers, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives focused on eliminating waste and increasing compliance.
  • Influence cross-functional partners with data-driven recommendations that support strategic decision-making and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years related work experience.
  • Supply Chain Finance or operations finance experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required
  • Ability to analyze data, generate insights and communicate effectively to management
  • Exceptional demonstrated problem-solving skills and critical thinking, must be able to effectively present information and analysis
  • Demonstrated evidence of a strong team player who is able to build key relationships with team members across multiple functions throughout the organization and influence the broader organization
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a broader team. Strong ability to work across functions and divisions to deliver results.
  • Ability to work in a complex ambiguous environment under high pressure.
