JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Available to work 3rd shift. 8:00 PM - 4:30 AM TUE-SAT, OFF SUN, MON



  • Review all quality, food safety and product specifications
  • Monitor blending equipment according to the specifications of components and blend amounts
  • Control valves, pumps, speed, and temperatures in accordance with industry standards for blending
  • Operate batching equipment and machinery in a safe and efficient manner
  • Adhere to established testing procedures and provide required samples to the laboratory
  • Assemble and disassemble equipment for proper cleaning/sanitizing and operating per manufacturer instructions
  • Observe and test system operation, using gauges and instruments
  • Engage in dismantling, assembling, and installing refrigeration equipment
  • Maintain communication with other departments, supervisor, and employees and notify them of any problems and/or concerns that may restrict the efficiency of production
  • Ensure all required information is documented in accordance with SOP's
  • Utilizing continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes
  • Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately
  • Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues
  • Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements

  • Working knowledge of State and Federal regulations and a valid Pasteurizers License or obtain one within 90 days.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE



  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Warehouse, production, or general work experience preferred
  • Certification and/or License - may be required during course of employment

  • Able to effectively work in a team environment
  • Able to legibly write entries for record keeping
  • Able to use company computer systems
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Able to follow directions
  • Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
