Security & Fire Alarm Technician - Hudson, NY (Albany Area Coverage) Pay: $20-$25/hr (Contract-to-Hire) Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-4:30 PM Location: Hudson, NY About the Role Are you a hands-on technician who enjoys solving problems and working with cutting-edge security technology? Join our team as a Security & Fire Alarm Technician, where you'll play a key role in protecting businesses and communities by installing and servicing advanced security systems. What You'll Do * Install, service, and inspect security alarm systems, CCTV, access control, and fire alarm systems for commercial clients * Terminate and dress Cat5/Cat6 cabling for IP video systems * Troubleshoot and maintain low-voltage systems * Read blueprints and work with networking hardware * Collaborate with a skilled team and occasionally work independently * Participate in an on-call rotation for service needs What We're Looking For * Experience with intrusion alarms, CCTV, and access control systems * Knowledge of low-voltage wiring and IP video systems * Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and work comfortably on ladders * OSHA 10 certification (training provided if hired) * Strong troubleshooting and communication skills * Background check and drug test required Bonus Points For: * Experience with Lenel access control, Bosch Security, or FCI fire alarm panels * Familiarity with NEC codes and regulations * Construction, telecom, or locksmithing Background Why You'll Love Working Here * Company vehicle, cell phone, and iPad provided * Paid holidays, PTO, and sick time * Comprehensive benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401(k) * Competitive pay and career growth opportunities * Work primarily local with occasional compensated travel Ready to take your career to the next level?
