The Opportunity

As a Software Engineer your expertise will directly influence the performance, reliability, and architecture of our core services. You will ensure our infrastructure can handle exponential growth and complex business logic. What You'll Do



  • Design and Development: Design, and implement highly available, scalable, and resilient services and APIs using our core stack and frameworks.
  • System Ownership: Take ownership of key components within our microservices architecture, including performance tuning, monitoring, and operational excellence for services critical to the business.
  • Collaboration: Partner closely with product managers, frontend engineers, and DevOps teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions and ensure seamless integration across the platform.
  • Quality Assurance: Write comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end tests, participate in code reviews, and champion best practices for code quality, security, and maintainability.
  • Observability: Design and implement comprehensive monitoring and alerting strategies with Datadog to ensure the health, reliability, and performance of production systems.
  • Incident Management: Participate in the response and resolution for complex production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventative measures.


The Skills and Experience You'll Bring



  • At least 3 years of experience in software development and a track record of on time and high quality deliveries.
  • Solid knowledge in Node.js and the related ecosystem.
  • Experience deploying, and managing applications on AWS.
  • Basic knowledge in containerization and orchestration, specifically Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Proficiency in using Datadog for monitoring, logging, and observability.
  • Fluent in microservice architecture, event-driven systems, and distributed systems design patterns.
  • Fluent in relational and NoSQL databases, and messaging systems like Kafka.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

For Colorado-based candidates, in compliance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $114,000.00 - $144,000.00 + target bonus. DAT considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education and training, core skills, internal equity, and market and business elements when extending an offer.
