The Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor role within the University Hospitals W.O. Walker Building offers a unique chance to become part of a dynamic, collaborative interdisciplinary team. This position adds value to patient care and significantly assists individuals with various mental health issues.

We currently offer an opportunity for a full time days, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor to support patients in Cleveland.

What You Will Do

  • Provides psychosocial assessment / intervention to assist patients/families (Including clinically complex).
    Communicates/collaborates with the work team using a multidisciplinary approach.

  • Understands and follow policies and procedures regarding referrals to relevant hospital services - Intensive Outpatient Program, Inpatient, Electro-convulsive Therapy

  • Collaborates and consults with multidisciplinary team within the Mood Disorders Program

  • Maintain patient records in accordance with UH standards

  • Assist with organizational development and relationship management with relevant referral sources

  • Periodically participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning meetings

Additional Responsibilities

* Performs other duties as assigned.
* Complies with all policies and standards.
* For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.
* Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
