The Marketing and Business Development Specialist role is considered a hybrid "marketing and sales" position. The ideal candidate will spend 50% of his/her time on marketing-related duties and 50% of his/her time on sales-assigned duties. This role will report to the FNTS Marketing department.
About This Role: Responsibilities
- Implements marketing and advertising campaigns by direction given from marketing leadership; preparing marketing and advertising plans and objectives; planning and organizing promotional presentations.
- Coordinates social media campaigns and tracks results.
- Keeps promotional marketing materials ready by coordinating requirements with graphics department; inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.
- Supports sales staff by providing sales data, market trends, forecasts, account analyses and new product information.
- Coordinates lead generation prospecting activities with sales and marketing teams.
- Researches competitive products by identifying and evaluating product characteristics, market share, pricing, and advertising; maintaining research databases.
- Plans events and trade shows by identifying, assembling and coordinating requirements; establishing contacts; developing schedules and assignments; coordinating prospect lists and follow-up plans
- Monitors budgets by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
- Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Ownership of a subset of marketing platforms (Webinar, RFP, CRM tools, etc)
- Build meaningful relationships with FNTS Prospects
- Make connections with FNTS Prospects, building relationships that are rooted in mutual trust and a shared interest in unlocking additional opportunities.
- Ability to "cold call" prospects and represent the organization in a meaningful and professional manner.
- Maintaining a comprehensive customer relationship management (CRM) that is always up-to-date and contains all customer engagements.
- Coordinate Account Based Marketing (ABM) and Sales prospecting nurturing efforts.
- Build a strong prospect pipeline to create "marketing qualified leads" to then assign/convert over to assigned regional sales executive.
- Develop a comprehensive go-to-market strategy.
- Develop messaging and sales collateral that emphasizes FNTS value propositions.
- Establish initial sales process "best practices" that can be used to scale the business development organization.
- Become proficient with FNTS technologies and offerings
- Be able to articulate how FNTS offerings can provide financial upside to proposed partner collaborations
- Create internal partner relationships
- As an extension of the sales team, you will work closely with Sales and Marketing to assist with special projects as well as other departments within the organization.
Requirements
- BS/BA degree in marketing or related field
- 5 years of professional experience and 2+ years in a Marketing and/or Business Development role
- Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing tools
- Experience with marketing research methods
- Experience with SEO/SEM campaigns and Social Media marketing
- Solid computer skills, including MS Office, and web analytics.
- Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management and Content Management System software (Salesforce, and Sales Navigator preferred)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Self-starter who's not afraid to roll up their sleeves and learn new skills

Compensation:
Compensation range (base pay): $68,251.00-$112,615.00
This role may have a specific starting pay within this range. Final compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon work experience, education, and/or skill level.
