The Role:

The Security Officer serves as a safeguard to team members and guests at the Queen Casino. The Officer is to be responsive to the needs of the guests and team members in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.

Responsibilities:



  • Always remain alert for burglaries, prowlers, vandalism, trespassers, removal of casino property without proper authorization, and any additional suspicious activity.
  • Assist in transporting money and chips.
  • Observe, report and take action as directed by the supervisor or above with respect to all suspicious, unusual situations.
  • Respond to and assist in all emergencies, including but not limited to fires, medical emergencies, and criminal activity.
  • Answer all calls promptly and professionally.
  • Respond to all disturbances in order to deescalate the incident.
  • Must make sound judgment when interacting with Team members and guests.
  • Interact with guests in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Be aware of and handle guest opportunities to ensure overall guest satisfaction in accordance with QCE's Service PACK.
  • Adhere to regulatory, departmental, and Company policies in an ethical manner and empower and require others to do the same.
  • Investigate and prepare written reports on incidents/medicals that occur during the shift in a timely manner.
  • Document all incidents and property damage as directed.
  • Practice teamwork, support fellow Team Members, and create an energized, positive work atmosphere.
  • Assist other Security Officers as needed.
  • Assist valet parking attendants in controlling traffic when necessary or parking vehicles.
  • Maintain a high level of personal integrity.
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • 6 months of security experience, required
  • Knowledge of Casino Security operations, preferred
  • Able to effectively communicate in English via verbal and written.
  • Ability to extended hours, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be able to follow orders and perform under high stress situations
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a State Gaming License
  • Must have a valid driver's license

Target Compensation:



  • $14.00 per Hour
