Security Technician: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire Location: Central/North Jersey Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Overview We are seeking an experienced Security Technician to join our team on a 6-month contract-to-hire basis. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience installing and servicing IP-based security systems in commercial and industrial environments. Responsibilities include installation of access control systems, electronic door and lock hardware, cable running, and terminations. Candidates should be self-motivated, maintain a professional appearance, and communicate effectively with customers to resolve issues. During the contractual basis - candidate will be utilizing their own vehicle. Preferred Skills * Installation and servicing of CCTV systems * Installation and servicing of Card Access systems * Installation and servicing of Burglar/Fire Alarm systems * Strong construction knowledge * Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings * Excellent problem-solving skills Job Requirements * Ability to operate hand and power tools, lift up to 50 lbs, and install/service security devices * Clear communication with customers and team members * Ability to climb ladders and work at heights (12-32 feet or higher using man lifts) * Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook) * Ability to recognize and identify colors * Dependable and punctual attendance * Ability to work full-time schedule and overtime as needed * Available for travel, including nights and weekends * Required to wear company uniform and maintain a neat appearance Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Stanhope, NJ. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
