Position Description

Performs specialized analytical duties in the operation and maintenance of assigned area. Responsibilities include collecting, analyzing and developing data relative to area, making recommendations and assisting in implementation of projects. Work is performed under general supervision with latitude for independent judgment in accordance with established policies and procedures. While some management oversight may be expected for specific projects, this position is expected to exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of the following duties:
Performs data analysis and develops database actions defined in project plans to meet customer requirement and/or marketing objectives.

Major/Essential Functions


  • Maintain and audit student records for both physical campus and TTU Online students to ensure accuracy, proper placement, and compliance with institutional and state requirements.
  • Conduct class audits of all TSI students to verify correct course pairings and student placements based on TSI scores.
  • Generate and submit census and CBM reports to Institutional Research and the Registrar's compliance office, following established reporting cycles (every 16 weeks for physical campus; every 8 weeks for TTU Online).
  • Review CBM reports with College Readiness leadership to ensure data integrity prior to submission.
  • Provide course completion metrics and enrollment projections to support planning and decision-making.
  • Develop custom reports and data analyses to support College Readiness initiatives and strategic goals.
  • Create and maintain coursework spreadsheets that align student TSI scores and prior TSI course completions with appropriate course placements and pairings.
  • Monitor and analyze inquiry trends from TSI email, phone line, and TEAMS chats to identify common student issues, inform process improvements, and support data-informed decision-making within College Readiness communications.
  • Participate in campus and community events and contribute to departmental and college-wide decision-making.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree plus four years progressively responsible related experience; OR a combination of education and/or experience to equal eight years

Preferred Qualifications


  • Master's degree in education, data analytics, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience working in a higher education setting with college readiness initiatives, particularly Texas Success Initiative (TSI) processes, is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently on complex data projects, interpret compliance requirements, and communicate findings effectively to diverse audiences is strongly preferred.
