Job Summary

Facilitates the administration, design, and implementation of complex infrastructure systems. Proficient in Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop/PVS/Citrix Cloud and Horizon View. Interacts with other infrastructure teams (e.g., application/infrastructure integration, networking, servers, storage, database, backup and recovery, desktop, etc.). Lead technical team members and initiatives.

Essential Functions

  • Administration, monitoring, testing, auditing, troubleshooting, repairing, documenting of responsible systems.
  • Implements planned solution under the management of the project plan, leveraging their skills. Applies skills to tasks in the project plan.
  • Create support documentation, interact with end users and vendors.
  • Application/Infrastructure/Business Integration, Technology Research, Technology Trends, On Going Education, Best Practices. Requirements definition, technology selection, support requirements
  • Follows IT Standards for system maintenance operations, change management. Provides input on improvement to IT Standards for System Maintenance and Operations.
  • Implements planned solution under the management of the project plan, leveraging their skills. Applies skills to tasks in the project plan.
  • Takes guidance from senior leads and managers.
  • Works as part of a team, resource to other Information Technology staff for their area of expertise.
  • Good communications both written and verbal. Can assist peers in problem resolution and operational improvement.

Deep Understanding and Experience in

  • Windows Server Operating Systems. Win 2008 to Win 2019 and IIS
  • Microsoft Windows Server Failover Clustering
  • Virtualization: VMware vSphere ESXi, Citrix, and/or Microsoft Hyper-V
  • Databases like MS SQL
  • Installing or upgrading Windows systems and servers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in the requested field.
  • 5 years or equivalent work experience required.
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) or equivalent strongly preferred.
  • Analytically inclined with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize work.
