SUMMARY: The Strategic Commercial Analyst will play a vital and highly visible role in supporting our day-to-day operations of our rapidly growing and agile commercial unit. In this role, you will ensure that the Commercial teams are enabled with the right commercial models, reporting, analytics, data, systems, and tools to be effective in their roles and decision-making. This role is critical in working collaboratively with Sales and other internal teams for providing the design and development of sales forecast management, sales reporting, attainment reporting and supporting the marketing and compensation functions. The analyst will work closely with Cytek Senior Management to ensure that forecasting systems and processes will meet/exceed strategic goals. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform essential duties and responsibilities satisfactorily.
- Forecast Management.
- Collaborate with global commercial teams to deliver an accurate updated forecast for the global sales organizations; data compilation, narratives and preparation of regular updates to be distributed to management, build estimates based on revenue expectations and continuous updates based on incoming sales expectations
- Provide data analysis to support product and revenue forecasting using customer relationship management (CRM), enterprise systems and automation for ease of use and collaboration across multiple organizations
- Working with Senior Leadership and Finance to develop, manage and routinely update sales reports for revenue and customer product utilization that will guide the sales organization to understand current performance to goal and variance to goal
- Create, evaluate, and manage sales forecast based on historical analysis and input from the team; develop metrics and automation to support continuous forecast improvement
- Reporting
- Reporting and maintenance of business metrics, dashboards and databases associated with business reporting for the sales organization
- Prepares monthly KPI package/sales performance presentations to senior leadership
- Develop sales, marketing, applications and field service performance reports and assist the leadership team with creation of periodic business review PPT presentations, reporting and business intelligence views
- Creation of Board of Directors slides for presentation at board meetings on a frequent basis
- Market Analytics
- Support the sales strategy by providing proactive, critical data analysis, reporting, and unbiased, objective, in-depth insights and strategic guidance to the commercial organization; contribute to, and also have involvement in annual operating plan and budget preparation, potential market research actions, commercial operations, sales analysis and forecasting
- Participate in sales and marketing strategy plans for sales team with visibility and accountability for territory plans, quota setting, pipeline development and forecast management
- Sales Compensation
- Work with Sales Compensation Specialist and Finance to develop and maintain automated dashboards for accurately capturing sales in the correct territories and calculating final commission payouts
- Calculate and publish monthly / quarterly Presidents Club results on an internal site that allows reps to review and compare performance against achievement goals
- Generate reports/dashboards as required by the global commercial teams
- Participate in process improvement projects as directed
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably with business/financial background
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience in sales, marketing/sales operations or finance
- Experience with global Sales and Operations / Demand Planning
- Experience working independently in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
- Extensive experience with Excel, PPT, ERP systems and Salesforce.com
- Self-starter with proven record of continual learning and growth
- Ability to work mostly independently, but also in collaboration with various teams
- Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, research, problem solving, time management and organizational skills with focus on accuracy, attention to detail, and timely record keeping
- Ability to create repeatable models and train others on utilization
- Aptitude with Power BI and/or other automated reporting tools a plus
