SUMMARY

Responsible for providing day-to-day procedural guidance for software applications, as well as implementation support for new technology applications. Assist with the oversight of technology utilization requirements, and the ongoing due diligence and auditing support. Support initiatives with development, testing, and implementation of new technology features.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Gathers data, analyzes requirements and documents specifications for new system processes and enhancements.

Identifies and researches system problems for root cause. Collaborates with team to analyze and recommend sound business solutions.

Provides support with defining future system needs which satisfy the requirements of customers, business users, and application programmers.

Builds thorough test plans and conducts system tests to verify that the system and screens contain accurate information; identifies and resolves problems where appropriate.

Reviews and analyzes user requests for business system enhancements. Determines the long and short term impact on workflow, reporting, and programming requirements.

Acts as resource to provide guidance to system users and/or application programmers.

Trains users in proper utilization of business systems, including providing written procedures.

Provides general support to external customers, system users and Information Technology staff.

Works directly with application programmers to define the steps required to develop or modify system applications.

Complies with agency management system data standards and data integrity (enter and maintain complete and accurate information).

QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Associate's Degree in Business or Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred

Related work experience in Computer Science, Accounting, or Auditing, required

Insurance/Financial Services industry experience, preferred

SKILLS

Knowledge of customer service principles and processes

Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning

Advanced understanding of computers and computer systems

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to convey information effectively

Ability to identify strengths and weaknesses of solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
