POSITION OVERVIEW
Responsible for managing the general ledger accounting function and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. This role oversees the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis. The Accounting Manager works closely with finance leadership, auditors, and cross-functional teams to maintain compliance with U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and SOX requirements. The position also drives process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in GL operations and financial reporting.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead and manage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring deadlines are met and financial statements are accurate.

Oversee preparation and review of journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and other adjustments to maintain the integrity of the general ledger.

Perform and review account reconciliations for balance sheet accounts, resolving variances promptly.

Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, SOX, and internal control requirements throughout all GL activities.

Collaborate with FP&A and other departments to analyze variances and provide insights into financial performance.

Manage Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance initiatives, including documentation of GL processes, identification of control gaps, and remediation efforts.

Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and providing required documentation. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for GL accounting and month-end close activities.

Identify and implement process improvements to streamline close cycles and enhance reporting accuracy.

Lead, mentor, and develop accounting team members, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Perform other duties as assigned to support financial reporting and operational excellence.

Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Five (5) years of progressive accounting experience, including general ledger and month-end close responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SOX compliance.
  • Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (FCF), Microsoft Excel, and Workiva.
  • Strong leadership and collaboration building skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
