Global Category Analyst (Remote)

STS Technical Services is hiring a Global Category Analyst for a remote work opportunity supporting supply management operations across global and regional supplier networks. This role provides both strategic and tactical direction for supply management category teams and plays a critical role in driving performance, supplier alignment, and company-wide initiatives.

This position is ideal for professionals with deep experience in supply chain management, procurement strategy, supplier performance, and cross-functional leadership.

The Global Category Analyst is responsible for providing strategic and tactical leadership for assigned supply management category teams. This role is directly accountable for work unit performance, category strategy execution, supplier relationships, employee performance, and the successful delivery of company-wide initiatives.

The position supports cross-business alignment, cost reduction initiatives, supplier risk mitigation, and long-term value creation across the supply base.

• Support development and deployment of strategic initiatives to facilitate cross-business synergies across global and regional preferred supplier partners
  
• Champion and manage key strategic supplier contracts, commercial performance, and supplier relationships
  
• Review, approve, monitor, and report compliance to category agreements and strategies in alignment with Supply Management policies
  
• Present planning tools, methods, technical analysis, standards, and procurement opportunities to senior management aligned with strategic plans and cost reduction initiatives
  
• Plan, prepare, and execute annual value propositions for owned spend and support execution with cross-functional business teams
  
• Champion Supplier Business Reviews with assigned suppliers
  
• Identify financial and operational risks within the supply base and develop proactive supplier risk mitigation strategies to ensure continuity of supply
  
• Manage employees and maintain accountability for team performance and results within Supply Management
  
• Provide guidance to employees, colleagues, and internal customers while addressing resource and operational challenges
  
• Support departmental planning, execution, and priority alignment
  

• Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required
  
• Candidates with five years of related field experience will be considered
  

• Minimum of five years of related professional experience
  
• Broad expertise in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Supplier Quality, SOP development, Negotiation, and Product Development
  
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop supply management teams in support of business goals
  
• Proven problem-solving skills, effective communication abilities, and demonstrated leadership experience
  
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and lead teams toward realistic, prioritized goals
  
• Travel required up to 15 percent for supplier visits and in-person team meetings
  

• Five years of professional negotiating experience in a global business environment
  
• Five years of experience improving supplier performance across multiple manufacturing facilities
  
• APQP experience
  
• Demonstrated continuous improvement experience
  
• Motorcycle riding experience and knowledge of Harley-Davidson motorcycles and accessories
  

• Full-time role, 40 hours per week
  
• Core working hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM supporting Eastern and Central time zones
  
• This is a remote position
