Energy Transfer is a master limited partnership that owns and operates one of the largest and most diversified portfolios of energy assets in the United States. In total, the Company owns and operates approximately 120,000 miles of natural gas, crude oil, refined products, and natural gas liquids pipelines, terminals, and acquisition and marketing assets which are used to facilitate the purchase and sale of crude oil, natural gas, natural gas liquids, and refined products.

Summary:
The NGL Distribution & Marketing Intern will support Energy Transfer's Natural Gas Liquids (NGL) business by assisting with distribution, scheduling, and analytical functions that help drive marketing and operational success. This role provides hands-on exposure to how commercial and operational teams collaborate to move and market NGL products across the company's assets.

TRIP PROGRAM

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Support the NGL Distribution team in performing monthly activity related to product movement, inventory, and scheduling.
  • Learn how distribution impacts NGL marketing strategies and overall company revenue.
  • Collaborate with teams across marketing, scheduling, credit, contracts, and accounting to understand how transactions flow from contract to delivery and payment.
  • Assist with data entry, reconciliation, and report preparation to ensure accurate trade details and timely invoicing.
  • Help prepare weekly inventory and monthly distribution reports for management.
  • Gain exposure to distribution systems such as Entero and T4, and assist in identifying opportunities for process improvement.
  • Participate in reviewing pipeline schedules and storage locations to understand how revenue is optimized and costs are managed.
  • Support compliance with company policies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills (External)

Preferred qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in college majoring in Business, Finance or Engineering
  • Strong computer and advanced Excel skills preferred
  • Must possess a strong willingness to learn
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to adapt well to rapidly changing priorities and responsibilities
  • Ability to organize, perform and prioritize various functions in a fast paced environment
  • Must be a team player, and able to work effectively with a diverse workforce and with various levels within the organization
