| Position Highlights |
The Research Data Analyst will support the College of Medicine - Tucson by analyzing research data and identifying opportunities to expand the institution's grant portfolio. This position will be responsible for assessing the volume of current research grants, identifying potential funding sources, and developing strategic data tables for grant applications. The analyst will also work closely with faculty and staff to strengthen grant proposals and improve the college's overall research funding strategy.

| Duties & Responsibilities |
Research and Data Analysis:
- Evaluate current research funding and identify gaps and opportunities for expansion.
- Develop comprehensive reports on the College of Medicine's research funding performance, including data tables.
- Analyze funding trends and identify strategies to increase funding success rates.
Grant Identification and Development:
- Research and identify potential funding opportunities from federal agencies, private foundations, and other sources.
- Develop goals, timelines, and strategies for grant applications.
- Collaborate with program managers and faculty to align funding opportunities with research priorities.
Grant Application Support:
- Develop data tables and supporting materials for grant applications.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with funding agency requirements.
- Maintain detailed records of grant applications and funding outcomes.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with faculty, staff, and leadership to gather data and strengthen grant proposals.
- Build and maintain relationships with funding agencies and external partners.
- Provide guidance to faculty and staff on funding requirements and strategies.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to analyze and interpret research data to identify funding gaps and opportunities.
- Strong knowledge of research funding sources and grant compliance.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

| Minimum Qualifications |
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required, and;
- Three (3) years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

| Preferred Qualifications |
- Master's degree in a relevant field.
- 3-5+ years of experience in grant writing or research administration in a higher education setting.
- Experience with federal and private funding agencies and grant compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with university systems and policies related to research funding.

In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University's campuses.Thesereports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims. As a campus with residential housing facilities, the Main Campus ASR also includes a combined Annual Fire Safety report with information on fire statistics and fire safety systems, policies, and procedures.
