Job Title:1^st Class Propeller Mechanic

Location:Harvey, LA

Position Overview:A 1st Class Propeller Mechanic is responsible for working on the vessel's propellers with the use of machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

* Obtains a series of accurate measurements and subsequently positions equipment to precise tolerances.

* Checks and corrects pitch, straightens bent blades, and makes propeller templates.

* Welds repairs for all types of propeller damage.

* Fits blade gages, finishes propeller surfaces, dye checks propellers, and balances propellers.

* Make repairs and manufactures propellers without specific supervision.

Experience:

* Two years (2) of marine or One (1) years of continuous Company experience preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

* Versed in applicable commercial specifications and standards.

* Knowledge of how to use necessary tools and equipment (i.e. calipers, micrometers, torch, etc.)

* Able to work with minimal or no supervision.

* Able to make repairs and manufacture propellers without any direct supervision.
