As a Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer at Presbyterian Healthcare Services, you'll perform advanced echocardiographic imaging to support the diagnosis and care of fetuses, infants, and children with congenital or acquired heart disease. Your work will provide essential insights that help cardiologists make timely, informed clinical decisions.
We are currently offering a $20,000 sign-on bonus and $6,000 relocation assistance for qualifying candidates.

Responsibilities:
Perform highquality fetal, pediatric, and congenital echocardiograms using standard imaging modalities, adapting techniques to each patient's needs. Analyze images in real time, document findings clearly, and communicate urgent results to the care team. Provide ageappropriate explanations to patients and families, ensuring comfort and a positive care experience. Maintain equipment readiness, identify basic technical issues, and support overall imaging quality and workflow. Complete accurate reports and electronic documentation for all studies. Support and mentor lessexperienced sonographers in developing their scanning skills. Collaborate closely with cardiologists and the care team to support patient diagnosis and treatment. Assist with echocardiography procedures in various care settings and participate in scheduled call rotations. Engage in ongoing professional development and maintain required competencies. Contribute to team meetings, department goals, and other duties as needed.
Qualifications: Level I - Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer: Experience:
Education:
Graduate of a two (2) year Allied Health Training Program in Ultrasound Technology -OR- graduate of bachelor's program in health science (including, but not limited to, cardiovascular technology, ultrasound, radiologic technology, respiratory therapy, or nursing) -OR- graduate of an accredited program in cardiac ultrasound (echocardiography) preferred but not required
Licensure/Certifications:
New Mexico State Licensure under the New Mexico Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Program (NMRTT) required Current BLS required RDCS AE (Adult) -OR- RCS (adults echo) -AND- RDCSPE (peds echo) -OR- RCCS (cardiac congenital), -OR- Must pass registry exam for ARDMS PE or CCI RCCS within 18 months of hire. ACS is preferred
Level II - Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer: Experience:
Education:
Graduate of a two (2) year Allied Health Training Program in Ultrasound Technology -OR- graduate of bachelor's program in health science (including, but not limited to, cardiovascular technology, ultrasound, radiologic technology, respiratory therapy, or nursing) -OR- graduate of an accredited program in cardiac ultrasound (echocardiography) preferred but not required
Licensure/Certifications:
New Mexico State Licensure under the New Mexico Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Program (NMRTT) required Current BLS required at time of hire ARDMS or CCI credential: with all of the following specialties: RDCS (AE), (PE), RCS, RCCS, and RDCS (FE) -OR- have promoted up with years of experience and assigned a Lead OR resource sonographer ACS is preferred
