The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Summary

  • Assists Director of Patient Care with ensuring that quality nursing care is delivered to all patients on his/her nursing units in accordance with the mission, vision, values, policies, procedures and program plans of the hospital
  • Assists with the development of patient care standards, orientation and continuing education
  • Participates in the interviews and hiring of potential candidates for open positions on the unit
  • Provides input into evaluation and/or corrective action of staff performance in accordance with organization policies
  • Participates in nursing Quality Improvement

Qualifications

  • Education Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing
  • License and Certification Current New Jersey RN License, BLS required, ONS chemotherapy/immunotherapy certification required
  • Oncology experience preferred
  • Minimum 1-year of acute care nursing experience required
  • Supervisory or charge experience required

Essential Functions

  • Assists with unit administration, including scheduling, payroll and maintenance of supplies and equipment,
  • Maintains and role models clinical skills necessary to provide care to patients,
  • Overall responsibility that unit department is in compliance with all applicable policies and regulations,
