Cape Fox Eagle Health, LLC is accepting resumes for a 30 hour/10 hours a day/3 days per week Occupational Health Registered Nurse to provide services at the NIH Occupational Medical Service located in Bethesda, Maryland. The OMS worksundertheDepartmentofHealthandSafetywithinNIHandcollaborateswithsafetyprofessionalsandNIHresearchers.


The total hourly pay for this non-exempt position is $47.93for up to 40 hours per week. This is comprised of a base hourly rate of $43.00plus $4.93per hour Health & Welfare (H&W) for up to 40 hours per week as required by the Service Contract Labor Standards (SCLS) regulations. This raterate represents the company's good faith and reasonable estimate of possible compensation at the time of posting. In addition, for eligible positions we offer a variety of benefits including specified holidays, paid leave, health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, as well as 401K with company match. This job will be posted until filled or withdrawn.


Responsibilities:


ClinicalResponsibilities(70%)



  • Independentlyperformsinitialevaluationandtriagingmedicalemergencies;
  • Assistsintheclinicalcareprovidedformedicalemergenciestoincludewoundcare,medicationadministration,phlebotomy,EKG'sandBGM;
  • Assistinimplementinghealthpromotionactivitieswithinthe NIHcommunity;
  • Performinitialassessment,treatment,andcounselingofoccupationalinjuriesandillnessandmentalhealthcrises.
  • Makeappropriatereferralstointernalandexternalprovidersrelatedtoinjuryorillness;
  • Provideproperdocumentationandeducation toemployeesaboutworkerscompensationandworkrestrictionsfollowinganaccidentorillness;
  • Independentlyconductspre-placementmedicalevaluationstoincludevitalsigns,hearing/visiontestingandEKG's;
  • Enrollandeducateemployeesinappropriatemedicalsurveillanceprograms(animalexposureprogram,tuberculosis,andbiologicalsuretyprogram);
  • Strongworkingknowledgeofhowtoprovidepatienteducationandtreatmenttoemployeeswhomaybeexposedtobloodbornepathogens;
  • Provideworkrelatedimmunizations,includinginternationaltravelimmunizationsandcounselingto NIHemployees;
  • Complieswithuniversalprecautions,infectioncontrolandwastemanagementguidelines;
  • Managetriagetelephonecallsandwalk-inpatientsinaprofessionalandwithquickassessmentskills;
  • Nurse will cross train for coverage at Baltimore and Frederick satellite clinics;


AdministrativeResponsibilities(30%)



  • ReviewandreviseallsectionsoftheOMSproceduremanualannually;
  • Participateinqualityimprovementactivities;
  • Participateinnursetrainingandstaff meetings.
  • WorkwithOMSPhysiciansandAdvanced PracticeProvidersonnewOMSinitiatives.
