Technology & Systems Department

The Technology & Systems department drives technological innovation for the company and advances the technology strategy to support global growth. This includes IT, Software Development, OT / Automation Systems, and business process improvement. At Vantage, we are veryhands on. In most cases, we specify,purchase,configureandmaintainall networking and server hardware. We also work closely with partner VARs to learn about the latesttechnologychanges so we can make informed purchase decisions. The Technology & Systems departmentparticipatesin designing each of our new data center building's networking infrastructure, including but not limited to diverse pathways connecting to carriers, meet-me room (MMR) hosting (rack, cabs, ladders, cross connect panels...), wireless AP coverage, etc.

We rely on extreme collaboration with Sales, Construction, Operations and Corporate Functions to drive simplification,establishglobal standards with continuous improvement and speed to value. We are working to build a reliable, scalable, sustainable, and secure technology roadmap/landscape that enables us to better serve our customers and employees and be the partner of choice. Our focus is on speed tovalue withfinancial and execution discipline. We strive to double the good, halve the bad, in half the time.

Position Overview

Vantage is looking for an experienced and detailed orientated Technical Project Manager to support andfacilitatethe successful completion of projects for the Automation Systems group.Individualwill be a catalyst infacilitatingmulti-functional alignment with key project partners for regionally assigned new and existing automation projects.

As a keycontributorthe position will manage and provide technical leadershipregardingautomation design, engineering, and construction interfacing. The ability to influence and develop consensus across teams at a regional level is critical to be successful in this role. A high-level understanding of system integration, project management, commissioning, and process execution isrequiredto provide informative project issue mitigation when challenges arise.

  • Primary Automation Systems team design and engineering interfacingresource.

  • Support pre-bid planning, coordination, and execution strategies to ensure quality design and engineering deliverables.

  • Support internal Innovation and Design Engineers teams to ensure standards and design engineering initiatives are adhered to throughout the automation design process.

  • Leads automation project design activities, whichincludespartnerships and collaboration with:

  • (EOR) Engineer of record and Design Systems Integration teams.

  • Automation construction teamsregardingautomation scope of work development, automation design deliverables, and factory acceptance testing.

  • Support Sales, Design Engineering, and Services to develop project requirements based on market demands or customer requirements.

  • Provide technical leadershipregardingautomation issue mitigation to support delivery and commissioning schedules throughout the project lifecycle.

Essential Job Functions

  • Leads automation design and engineering projects that align with business vision, strategy, and deployment within the company.

  • Assistin the definition ofautomationproject scope andobjectives, involving all relevant partners and ensuring technical feasibility.

  • Balance multiple automation technical project scopes, schedules, and stakeholder relations across the regions.

  • Drive all aspects of automation activities related to new and existing project development through each of the design and engineering phases, while supporting the construction interfacing team.

  • Lead automation technical responsibilities with the Engineer of Record and Design Systems Integrators.

  • Run automationdesigndeliverable package coordination and updates with all applicable automation construction partners.

  • Ensure alignment to the Vantage Automation Execution Playbook and global standards by the Engineer of Records and Design Systems Integrator.

  • Provideautomation system technical guidance andissuemitigation throughout design, engineering, and commissioning activities.

  • Coordinate and support applicable FWT (Factory Witness Tests), and software bench testing and on-sitepoint tofor various projects.

  • Provide remote or onsite project and vendor support ensuring a successful design and engineering delivery.

  • Handle automation design, engineering, and programming/software deliverables (Specifications, IFC's, SOO's, PLC, SCADA, etc..), ensuring critical delivery milestones aremaintainedand in alignment with the master construction schedule.

  • Provide and implementautomationtechnical quality and accuracy controlmeasurefor projects.

  • Lead andparticipatein weekly and/or daily automation engineering meetings for each applicable regional project.

Duties

  • Lead regional Automation project design, engineering, and programming/software delivery.

  • Support in developing and handling automationdesign,and engineering strategies.

  • Develop technical task prioritization and scheduling for prioritizing and project timelines.

  • Support and coordinate automation design and engineering requirements with internal and external partners.

  • Evaluates progress on project(s) and supervises changes to schedule.

  • Develops andmaintainsstandard communication and user documentation for Automation aspects of project implementation (RFIs, Transmittals, Submittals, Change Requests, Project Plans, Status Updates, etc.)

Job Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in Building Management System (BMS) design, integration, commissioning, or technical leadership.

  • BS in related Engineering or Construction Management fieldspreferred butnotrequiredbased upon experience level.

  • PLC / SCADA Application Engineering experience preferred.

  • Experience with Allen-Bradley and Ignition experience preferred.

  • Data Center or Mission Critical project experience preferred but notrequired.

  • Shown success in project management with PMP certificationpreferred butnotrequired.

  • Experience in instrumentation and controls (I&C) preferred.

  • Proficiencywith MS Project, MS Office, and MS SharePoint

  • Travel required is expected to be 25% but may increase over time as the business evolves.

Additional Details

  • Salary Range: $130k - $160k + Bonus (this range is based on national market data and may vary in other locations)

  • This position is eligible for company benefits including but not limited to medical, dental, and vision coverage, life and AD&D, short and long-term disability coverage, paid time off, employee assistance, participation in a 401k program that includes company match, and many other additional voluntary benefits.

  • Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including your qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
