Project Manager

Genesis10 is seeking a Business Side Project Manager who has worked on discovery phase of projects/portfolios for a Financial Services client in downtown Minneapolis, MN This is a 6-month contract opportunity with a pay range of $75-80 w-2. Must be able to go on site 2-4 days a week

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Program/Project Manager to support multiple workstreams under a Discovery initiative for our client in the financial services industry. This role combines program-level coordination with hands-on project management to ensure timely progress, alignment, and delivery across teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Program Coordination: Drive alignment across several discovery workstreams, ensuring dependencies and priorities are managed effectively.
• Project Management:
  • Schedule and facilitate meetings, ensuring clear agendas, recaps, and follow-up action tracking
  • Track and manage deliverables across all workstreams.
  • Identify and mitigate risks proactively.
  • Monitor and report on budget status and variances.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a central point of contact for updates, status reporting, and issue escalation.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation and progress reports for leadership visibility.

Required Qualifications:

• 7+ years of project management, 3+ years of program or portfolio management. Ideally combined / hybrid responsibility.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple simultaneous and related projects and priorities, recognize dependencies and relationships among projects, and ensure appropriate awareness across project teams of those dependencies and relationships.
• Familiarity with risk management, budget tracking, and deliverable management.
• Experience managing digital product, software, or application projects and programs.
• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., OnePlan, Jira, or similar).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience working / managing across full software-development lifecycle
  • In particular: Experience working in discovery or exploratory phases of projects
  • In particular: Experience transitioning teams from discovery into definition and development phases of projects.
• Experience in cross-functional environments with multiple stakeholders.
• Experience in financial services, healthcare, legal, or other specialized or highly regulated domain(s).
