Location: Winston Salem, NC 27105

Duration: 12+ Months right to hire (Performance Based)

Shift Timing: 7:00 AM-3:45PM (Mon-Fri)

Pay Rate: $20-$23/hr. on W2

  • This position is for an Engineering Services Senior Technician who is under minimal supervision at Interiors Engineering Development Lab (EDL).
  • Performs moderately complex technical tasks which contribute to the planning and execution of engineering projects. May serve as a resource on varied tasks. Machining experience desired.


Required Skills:

  • Works with engineers to build and test commercial aircraft seats and furniture
  • Provides technical support to engineers on a variety of tasks.
  • Confer with engineers on details and implications of test article build, test procedures and results.
  • Machine small parts based on drawing.


Required Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma or associate's degree (AA/AS) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; and minimum 4 years related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient with variety of hand tools
  • Proficient with basic mechanical and manufacturing concepts.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills along with the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel.
  • Working knowledge of engineering drawing interpretations.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a highly regulated industry, especially aerospace or automotive.
  • Experience working in a testing and quality assurance environment.
  • Well organized with solid judgment; able to multitask and adjust to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge and experience with 2D and 3D modeling software.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of metal machining and fabrication equipment.
