Senior Manager, IT Architect oversees a team of architects, shaping technical strategy and capabilities for the entire enterprise. This position provides direction and leadership to the IT architecture team, ensuring that their work aligns with the organizational goals. The role involves setting technical strategies for the team and ensuring IT systems are designed to be scalable, secure, and capable of supporting the company's growth and operations. The IT Architecture Senior Manager is responsible for leading the solution architecture working with cross-functional teams at all levels to advance the company's capabilities by designing, describing and influencing them to solve specific business requirements. This role leads the team of individuals who will define the best technological solution ensuring scalability, performance, and security. Role Accountabilities and Responsibilities (Describe the 5-7 major accountabilities)
- Leading and mentoring a team of architects ensure that architectural standard, principles, design patterns, and modern practices are followed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and create new functionalities and capabilities
- Overseeing the solution design process to ensure technical feasibility, technical fit to enterprise environment and ensuring all parts of the business model work together including business processes, operating systems, integration, and application architecture.
- Drive innovative thinking and identify opportunities for continuous improvements and new methodologies.
- Act as a thought leader, proactively identifying business challenges and recommending technical solutions.
- Assist in driving an Enterprise Architect practice and update technical documents, architectural roadmaps, system diagrams, and design specifications.
- Encourage innovation and foster an environment of continuous improvement to help drive greater efficiencies.
- Oversee the lifecycle management of technology solutions across all applications and technologies, ensuring seamless introduction, maintenance, and retirement of these systems.
- Engage in technology selection to address business challenges and develop business cases for implementing new technology with established ROI.
- Fostering an environment to encourage continuous learning and the adoption of new technologies by staying up to date with technical trends.
- Lead the architecture community of practice to share knowledge of common architect practices and drive industry use cases with external partners.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in Information Technology, Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent IT work experience
- 3+ years working with cloud solutions preferred Microsoft Azure.
- 5+ years' experience in technology management role.
- Strong understanding of application design, cloud computing, and enterprise architecture frameworks
- Experience in leading and mentoring a team, managing projects and driving results.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
