About the Job.

The Human Resources Intern will support the HR team with a variety of administrative, operational, and project-based tasks across the employee lifecycle. This role offers hands-on exposure to core HR functions, including recruiting, onboarding, training, compliance, and HR operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, curious, and eager to learn how HR supports the business. The role will work 100% in the office Monday through Friday.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

Recruiting & Onboarding Support

  • Assist with job descriptions, resume screening, and interview scheduling.

  • Support new hire onboarding activities, including processing new hires in HRIS and orientation preparation.

  • Maintain accurate candidate and employee records in the HRIS/ATS.

HR Operations & Administration

  • Help maintain personnel files and ensure data accuracy and confidentiality.

  • Assist with HR audits, reporting, and data entry projects.

  • Support with Performance Management documents and ensure they are saved accurately in each employee record.

  • Assist with updating HR documents, policies, and procedures.

  • Support compliance-related initiatives (e.g., trainings, acknowledgments, recordkeeping).

  • Participate in HR projects aligned with business needs (e.g., Operating Model documentation, research, benchmarking).

Employee Experience & Engagement

  • Assist with employee communications (New Hire Communications, Raspberry Pi Postings, etc.), training logistics, and engagement initiatives.

  • Support HR-led programs, events, and learning activities.

Non-Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Support with the office management functions as needed.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Education, Work Experience, & Physical Requirements

  • High School diploma required.

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.

  • Willingness to learn and ask questions.

  • Utilize Word, PowerPoint, and Excel formatting, proofing, editing, copying, and promoting high-quality output with experience.

  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.

  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within the parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
