The Real Estate & Workplace (REW) team at OpenAI designs and manages spaces, programs, and services that empower our employees and advance our mission. Our team covers a diverse range of functions, including leasing, global operations, analytics, construction, workplace experience, and employee services. About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced workplace professional to support employee engagement and operational collaboration. This is an extremely collaborative role that is pivotal to ensuring our employees work in the best facilities possible with an ever-changing environment.This role reports to the AMERs Sr. Workplace Manager within the Workplace Operations org and involves close collaboration across various REW pillars and other cross-functional partners including Leasing, Workplace Experience, Global Food Programs, Executive Business Partners, Corporate Security, IT, and other external partners.

This position is based in San Francisco, CA, with the requirement of being in the office 5 days per week. Relocation assistance is available for new hires.

In this role, you will:

  • Own and run workplace programs end-to-end, ensuring smooth execution and a consistently positive employee experience

  • Communicate workplace-related updates and concerns clearly and proactively to employees, acting as a trusted and approachable point of contact

  • Design and launch initiatives that strengthen company culture, employee engagement, and connection across teams

  • Partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders (e.g., People, IT, Facilities, Security, Finance) through regular check-ins and ongoing collaboration

  • Provide dedicated workplace support for one or more organizations within the company, understanding their unique needs and advocating on their behalf

  • Serve as a source of truth for the teams you support, maintaining accurate information, documentation, and guidance related to workplace programs and policies
