Director Qualityin GAC Savannah Unique Skills: This position leads a team of Quality Control leaders and will work closely with leaders across the enterprise. Develops key quality metrics, identification of risk and drives improvement to product and process quality. This position will focus on manufacturing quality standardization, compliance to regulatory and Quality Management System requirements. Candidate must have demonstrated strengths in both verbal and written communication, presentation delivery and technical process documentation. Technical compentencies and experience in manufacturing expansion projects, engineering, industrial technology, project management, data analysis or quality system oversight are highly desirable. Demonstrated experience participating in or leading operational expansion project ensuring quality performance or significant process or systems change management. Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the essential functions of the position. 10 years experience leading large, complex manufacturing quality organizations and supporting Aerospace/Defense and/or automotive industries to include at least 4 years experience managing professional level employees.
Position Purpose:
Position leads the Gulfstream Quality organization in setting the vision, strategy and accountability by promoting standardization, and process consistency to the Quality Management System. This position is responsible for elements of the Quality System and directly develops, leads or partners with stakeholders responsible for manufacturing and inspection of aircraft assembly, completions, component manufacturing, repair station and supplier quality functions across multi-site locations. Key responsibilities include developing quality strategies that align with Gulfstream's integrated production system and interior completions while ensuring compliance to FAA Part 21 & 145, EASA, AS9102 FAI, NADCAP, DoD, international customer regulations, industry standards, and execution of internally developed quality standards. Accountable for engagement in developing teams with high quality performance across multiple organizations by establishing a culture of collaboration, effective communication and continuous improvement.
