What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting students, faculty, and visitors as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus buildings and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activities or hazards within the educational environment to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with access control at various entry points, verifying credentials and guiding visitors as necessary.
  • Support the enforcement of campus policies and procedures to maintain a secure environment for all occupants.
  • Collaborate with campus staff and local authorities when needed to address incidents or emergencies.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of all activities, incidents, and observations during patrols.
  • Participate in ongoing training and briefings to stay current with site-specific requirements and security-related protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
