This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.

As a Senior Project Manager at Blue Origin, you will play a pivotal role in our mission to build a road to space for the benefit of Earth. In this high impact position, you will lead the end to end execution of complex aerospace projects, orchestrating cross-functional teams from initial concept through design, manufacturing, integration, and flight.

We are seeking a leader who thrives in a fast paced, dynamic environment and possesses a unique blend of technical acumen and strategic business thinking. The ideal candidate can translate complex technical challenges into an actionable, integrated plan and can drive accountability while fostering a collaborative, mission focused culture. Your ability to manage schedules, mitigate risks, and communicate with clarity will directly contribute to the success of Blue Origin's most ambitious programs. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Lead a cross-functional teams through the entire project lifecycle, from requirements definition to design, manufacturing, testing, and delivery, for complex aerospace engineering projects.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute against an integrated master schedule, ensuring resource availability, managing project budgets, and tracking performance against baseline.
  • Proactively identify, track, and mitigate project risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies, communicating project status, performance, and forecasts to stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Establish and manage project governance, including communication plans, stakeholder management strategies, and structured review cadences to ensure alignment and drive accountability.
  • Drive continuous improvement by developing and refining project management processes, tools, and best practices to enhance organizational efficiency and project predictability.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5 years of progressive experience in project management, with a minimum of 3 years leading complex, cross-functional technical projects from initiation to closure.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification in good standing.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with enterprise project management software such as Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Project; strong experience with advanced scheduling and risk management methodologies.
  • Proven experience leading, influencing, and mentoring teams in a matrixed organization without direct supervisory authority.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the aerospace, defense, or high-tech manufacturing industry, managing projects involving hardware development, production, or New Product Introduction (NPI).
  • Demonstrated experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) systems and reporting.
  • Program Management Professional (PgMP) or Agile (e.g., CSM, SAFe) certification.
  • Experience managing projects with significant budgets (e.g., >$5M) and complex supply chains.

Compensation Range for:

WA applicants is $104,027.00 - $145,637.10

  • Required for Certain Job Profiles: Drivers who operate Commercial Motor Vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) or combination of power unit and trailer that meets or exceeds 10,001 lbs. and/or transports placardable amounts of hazardous materials by ground in any vehicle on a public road while in commerce, may be subject to additional Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations including: Driver Qualification Files, Medical Certification (obtained before onboarding), Road Test, Hours of Service, Drug and Alcohol Testing (CDL drivers only), vehicle inspection requirements, CDL requirements (if applicable) and hazardous materials transportation/shipping training.

  • Required for certain Job Profiles: Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical
