| Position Description: |
The Department of Pharmacy Practice and Science (PPS) at the University of Iowa College of Pharmacy invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor (with tenure). Emerging or established clinician scientists with practice, teaching, and research expertise in the areas of oncology, neuroscience, or ambulatory care are especially desired. Duties and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, mentoring and teaching within the College's Doctor of Pharmacy program; engaging in scholarly productivity and pursuit of extramural funding; developing interdisciplinary research collaborations within and outside the College of Pharmacy; and service to the Department, College, University, and Profession. Successful candidates will be required to self-disclose any misconduct history or pending research misconduct investigation including but not limited to sexual misconduct in prior employment and provide a related release and will be subject to a criminal background and credential check. Please note that the department will not cover the $100,000 payment associated with H-1B sponsorship, either at the time of hire or for international travel purposes. Salary and Benefits Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. | Education Requirement: |
- PharmD, with post-doctoral residency or fellowship training; or Pharmacy degree (BPharm or PharmD) and PhD
|
| Required Qualifications: |
- Eligibility for licensure as a pharmacist in the state of Iowa
- Experience conducting research using observational data, clinical trials, and/or mixed methods
Required Qualifications for Rank: Assistant Professor
- Evidence of, or strong potential for, scholarly productivity (in terms of peer-reviewed publications and extramural funding)
- Evidence of, or strong interest in, multi- and inter-disciplinary research
Associate Professor
- Evidence of a record of scholarly productivity (in terms of peer-reviewed publications and extramural funding)
- Evidence of conducting multi- and inter-disciplinary research
Professor
- Established and sustained record of successful scholarship
- Established and sustained record of extramural funding
- Unmistakable evidence of national reputation in one of the desired fields of expertise

| Desirable Qualifications: |
- Clinical practice experience in one of the desired fields of expertise
- Experience teaching in a College of Pharmacy (didactic and/or experiential)
- Experience in grant writing, federal or equivalent
- Experience in the management, curation and/or linking of large data sets
- Experience with traditional statistical methods within the fields of biostatistics or epidemiology
- Dissemination and implementation experience
