About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a Quality Manager for our Prescott, AZ location. The Quality Manager is responsible for leading and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with aerospace standards and customer requirements. This role ensures product conformity, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across machining, special processes, inspection, and documentation. The Quality Manager works closely with operations, engineering, and customers to drive a strong culture of quality and accountability.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and improve the AS9100/ISO 9001 Quality Management System
  • Ensure compliance with FAA, customer, and regulatory requirements
  • Own quality procedures, work instructions, and document control
  • Lead internal audits and support external audits (customer, registrar, regulatory, NADCAP)
  • Ensure controls are in place to maintain accreditations.
  • Oversee incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities
  • Accurately read and interpret blueprints, technical sketches, drawings, configuration, and customer documents to meet job requirements.
  • Ensure proper use and calibration of inspection equipment (CMM, hand tools, gages)
  • Review and approve First Article Inspections (FAI) per AS9102
  • Support MRB activities and disposition of nonconforming product
  • Lead root cause analysis (RCCA) and corrective action responses (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone)
  • Track and verify effectiveness of corrective actions
  • Reduce scrap, rework, and customer escapes through preventive actions
  • Serve as the primary quality contact for customers
  • Manage customer complaints, returns, and corrective action requests
  • Support supplier qualification, performance monitoring, and corrective actions
  • Establish, maintain, and solidify long-term relationships with customers.
  • Train employees on quality requirements, procedures, and best practices
  • Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and "right-first time" manufacturing
  • Mentor inspectors and quality staff
  • Hold organized quality clinics for the manufacturing/production staff
  • Track and report key quality metrics (scrap, rework, escapes, audit findings)
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives tied to quality and efficiency
  • Support lean manufacturing and risk-based thinking initiatives

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of quality experience in manufacturing environment,
  • Strong working knowledge of AS9100, AS9102, ISO 9001, and aerospace customer requirements
  • Experience with precision machining, blueprints, GD&T, and inspection methods
  • Proven experience leading audits and corrective actions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time bases without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis.
  • Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making abilities
  • High attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with production and engineering teams
  • Organized, self-driven, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Calm, professional approach when handling customer issues
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Quality Manager or Quality Engineer leadership experience
  • Familiarity with FAA requirements and flow-down compliance
  • Experience with CMM programming and advanced inspection techniques
  • Six Sigma, CQE, or similar quality certification
  • Honeywell and G.E. QMS requirements
  • Experience leading NADCAP audits (Heat Treat, N.D.T. C.M.S.P., Quality)
  • Auditor / Lead Auditor certification

Working Conditions

  • Must be able to have prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk on shop floor
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Personal protective equipment (e.g., safety glasses and safety shoes) is required on the shop floor
  • Occasional weekend and evening work may be required to accommodate priorities, deadlines, and schedules.

Compensation & Benefits:

This is a full-time position with a competitive hourly wage. Expected weekly hours: 40-50. We offer a competitive benefit package, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, paid time off, and company-paid holidays.

The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on the date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements, among other factors.

Must be willing and able to work onsite full-time in Prescott, AZ. This position is not eligible for relocation.
