Odell CCSD #435 is seeking employment of a full-time Bookkeeper. The official start date for the position will be July 1, but availability for some training this Spring and Summer will be preferred. The candidate must demonstrate competency in Microsoft Office and Excel or the equivalent in Google and show proficiency in navigating financial reporting applications, and be able to work with others to gain the needed competency to do all the required functions of the position. Candidate must be able to maintain effective and courteous working relationships with students, parents, staff, and community. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Keeping district accounting records - Assisting in obtaining information in preparation for annual budget - Keeping all district payroll records, calculating timesheets, preparing payroll, and printing checks - Employee benefits coordinator - Completing payment of payroll taxes - Completing payments on behalf of employees for TRS and IMRF - Preparing W-2’s - Preparing financial bank reconciliation with assistance from Board Treasurer - Performing basic payroll and accounting-type tasks as required, including gathering and depositing funds - Preparing board meeting packets and attending board meetings - Effectively operate all computer programs, accounting software and office equipment to record, store and analyze financial and other information Salary/Benefits: - Salary/wage will be in the $42,000-$48,000/year range - 12 Sick days/year - 15 Vacation days/year - All school breaks and holidays other than summer break off - Individual Health insurance and option to add family health - Board paid contribution to IMRF recblid w3onyb9qxad2xqesrrio454jwkhnjb | |
