Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Programmer with deep experience programming Emmegi Phantomatic CNC machining centers for aluminum extrusion applications. This role is programming-focused, with responsibility for developing, optimizing, and standardizing CNC programs that drive accuracy, efficiency, and repeatable quality in production.

Key Responsibilities

CNC Programming & Process Development

  • Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs for Emmegi Phantomatic machines using Emmegi software, CAD, Solid Worx, 3D Programming, and CAM tools
  • Develop efficient machining strategies for aluminum extrusions, including drilling, milling, tapping, and routing
  • Select tooling, feeds, speeds, and cutting parameters to maximize tool life and cycle efficiency
  • Standardize programs, tooling libraries, and machining methods across production
  • Support new product introductions by developing proven CNC processes

Technical Support & Optimization

  • Troubleshoot complex programming, tooling, and machining issues
  • Analyze cycle times and implement continuous improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to improve manufacturability
  • Provide technical leadership and programming support to CNC operators

Setup, Validation & Quality

  • Oversee machine setups, offsets, and first-article validation
  • Ensure programs meet dimensional, tolerance, and finish requirements
  • Assist with root-cause analysis for quality or machining issues

Safety & Maintenance

  • Ensure CNC programs and processes comply with safety standards
  • Support preventative maintenance through program and tooling best practices

Required Qualifications

  • CNC machining experience with strong emphasis on programming
  • Expert ability to read and interpret complex architectural and mechanical drawings
  • Advanced understanding of tooling, fixturing, offsets, and CNC logic

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience standardizing CNC programs in a production environment
  • Engineering Degree

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed
