The Opportunity: Project Manager, Commercialization

Reporting to the Sr. Director of Commercialization, this position provides commercialization and project management support for assigned projects. Project types can range from innovation, cost savings opportunities, and ones that support existing product changes (brand maintenance). The successful candidate will develop cross-functional collaboration skills while working through roadblocks and issues that could impede progress and will have opportunities to grow as a project management resource within the organization.

*This position can be based either in Hanover, PA or offered as a remote opportunity, with candidates preferably located in the EST or CST time zones.

What You'll Do:



  • Apply sound project management techniques and workflow processes when executing assigned projects
  • Build project plans using MS Project and WBS structures to clearly outline objectives, timing, risks, and risk mitigation planning
  • Communicate and align key resources at all levels of the organization on assigned projects.
  • Develop and refine project management processes and training materials as business needs are identified
  • Support training events on project management and share knowledge with colleagues across the organization
  • Report key project management metrics to various functions and levels, including escalation as needed to senior management
  • Contribute to driving change within a complex, cross-functional organization
  • Proactively identify continuous improvement process opportunities or gaps and collaborate on solutions to drive business improvement.


What You Bring:

Education



  • Bachelor degree in business, engineering, food science, marketing or other related discipline.


Experience



  • 2-5 years experience as a project manager in CPG or related industries.
  • Experience with commercialization of new food or consumer products and changes to existing products is strongly preferred.
  • Track record of successfully completing projects on-time and within budget.
  • Experience in business process development or improvement initiatives is a plus.
  • Exposure to managing change within a matrix organization is preferred.


Skills



  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and MS Project
  • Ability to generate graphs, presentations, and charts
  • Experience with project management tools such as SmartSheet, Monday.com, or Power BI is a plus


Certificates & Licenses



  • Formal certification in Project Management (from PMI or equivalent Project Management Association) a plus.
