General Notes

Additional hours will be required to include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Travel required. This position is not suitable for remote work and regular, on-site hours are required.

This position is designated as an Administrative and Professional and serves without a fixed term and at the pleasure of the President, pursuant to the University's HOP 5-1230, "Appointment and Term of Appointment for Administrative Professionals."

Purpose

Provide administrative and logistical support to the Director of Recruiting for the University of Texas Football Program. This position assists with recruiting events, official and unofficial visits, departmental communication, and daily operational tasks to help advance the program's recruiting objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the daily recruiting operational and logistical processes within the University of Texas Football Program. Support the execution of the vision of the Recruiting Department.

  • Assist the Director of Recruiting with coordinating visit plans and details with prospects and families. Serve as a point of contact for prospects and families.

  • Assists in organizing and executing travel/accommodation arrangements for prospects -- flights, hotels, meals, etc.

  • Assists in organizing and executing arrangements for hosting prospects.

  • Assist in the development and execution of general correspondence to prospects calendar.

  • Collaborate with creative team on relevant and innovative recruiting ideas and materials.

  • Assist in the creation, maintenance, and updating of all recruiting materials.

  • Assist in managing support functions and facilities--cleanliness, safety, security adequacy for practices and events.

  • Assist with scheduling facilities, equipment, and support staff for events, practices, meetings and other evolutions. Assists with budgeting and purchasing.

  • Assist in supervising and assigning work and schedules for assigned interns and student workers.

  • Serve as a liaison between the Recruiting Department and all other departments, including the business office, academics, compliance office, ticket office, facilities, travel, etc.

  • Ensure compliance with University and NCAA rules for recruiting student athletes.

  • Drive a UT or rental vehicle on and off campus.

  • Other related functions as assigned.

Proactively seek guidance when unsure or unclear of a law, rule or policy applicable to you or your department/sport program. Actively participate in assigned education and training programs. Comply with all laws, policies, rules and regulations set forth by the Board of Regents of The University of Texas System, The University of Texas at Austin, NCAA, Conference, or other governing body, including state and federal laws. Annually obtain prior written approval and report all outside activities and outside income. Report knowledge of, or reasonable cause to believe, violation(s) of state or federal laws, policies, rules, or regulations of the University, Conference, or NCAA to IA ARMCS or IA HR. Fully cooperate with any investigation by providing complete and accurate information when requested to do so by Texas Athletics and/or the NCAA and do not influence others in any way during an investigation. In compliance with Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 and Texas Education Code Sec. 51.252, this position may be a Non-Confidential Employee as defined by University policies on Sex Discrimination, Sexual Harassment, Sexual Assault, Interpersonal Violence and Stalking. Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree. Knowledge and professional experience with NCAA Division I Intercollegiate Athletics Football programs. Excellent interpersonal skills. Professional demeanor. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

Two or more years combined experience as a Football staff member. Expert proficiency with Microsoft Office. Experience as a student-athlete in collegiate athletics.

Driving Required

This job requires a class "C" operator's driver's license. The applicant selected must provide a current three year driving record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, a Texas driver's license must be obtained within 30 days of becoming a Texas resident.
