Position Summary

Odyssey Systems has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Test and Evaluation Specialist supporting an Air Force acquisition mission at Eglin AFB, FL. The candidate will provide T&E technical and engineering support across test concept development, test methodology development, test plan development, test execution, and test reporting, including data reduction and analysis and end-user operational testing.



Responsibilities

Duties include, but are not limited to:

    Provide T&E technical and engineering support by documenting the review, test concept development, test methodology development, test plan development, test execution, and test reporting, data reduction and analysis, and end-user operational testing

  • Utilize and apply Design of Experiments methods to plan and conduct test programs

  • Prepare (or advise others in the preparation of) criteria, computation/analyses, specifications, cost estimates, test plans, and technical reports in the specific area of technical expertise

  • Select and apply engineering techniques and procedures to analyze and evaluate specific problems, data, or other features of the work which are broad in scope and complexity

  • Review and evaluate the quantity, quality, and overall adequacy of results and conclusions drawn from accomplishment of test engineering tasks

  • Develop new and innovative approaches to problems encountered and accomplish assigned tasks with efficiency, timeliness, and thoroughness

  • Evaluate the configuration, capability, and operational relevance of test environments and ensure they are properly available for thorough testing of software releases (e.g., fault insertion/fault identification)

  • De-conflict schedule conflicts between multiple releases, providing high quality analysis and recommendations to the program test lead



Qualifications

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen

Minimum Required Qualifications

Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain an Active Secret clearance

Education: Bachelor's in Related Disipline + 15 years Relevant Experience ,OR

    • Associate's + 20 years Relevant Experience

Technical Skills

  • Test concept development and test methodology development

  • Test plan development, test execution, and test reporting

  • Data reduction and analysis

  • End-user operational testing support

  • Design of Experiments application for test planning and execution

  • Engineering techniques and procedures for complex problem/data analysis

  • Test environment configuration and operational relevance evaluation

  • Software release test support (fault insertion/fault identification)

  • Schedule de-confliction support across multiple releases

Interpersonal Skills

  • Ability to develop innovative approaches to complex test problems

  • Strong attention to quality, adequacy, and completeness of test results and conclusions

  • Ability to deliver thorough, timely, and efficient task execution

  • Ability to provide clear analysis and recommendations to program test leadership

Travel: Travel may be required per the customer's discretion.
