Mechanic

Atlantic Coast Recycling, a Waste Connections Company, is looking to add a mechanic to our growing maintenance team.

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on recycling plant equipment (conveyors, screens, shredders, balers, sorting systems)
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Conduct routine inspections to identify wear, damage, or safety concerns
• Support plant operations by minimizing downtime and responding to breakdowns
• Perform welding, fabrication, and component replacement as needed
• Maintain accurate maintenance and repair documentation CCMS
• Follow all safety, lockout/tagout, and environmental compliance procedures
• Coordinate with operations staff to prioritize repairs around production needs
• Assist with facility upkeep and minor building maintenance as required
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts for equipment reliability
• Helping other team members with repairs as needed
• Having professional and courteous interactions with our team when needed.
• Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.
• Perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
