About This Opportunity

We are seeking a ServiceNow Developer to join our growing team. This role will work collaboratively with Application Administrators, System Administrators, Integration Developers, and other technical and nontechnical staff to design and develop solutions on the ServiceNow platform. In this role, you will provide expertise on ServiceNow's capabilities, serve as a key partner for the ongoing maintenance and enhancement of the platform, and develop and implement technical solutions to solve business problems.

In this role, you will:

  • Design, develop, and configure scalable solutions within ServiceNow HRSD, GRC/IRM, ITSM, and the core platform.
  • Collaborate with HR, IT, and Compliance partners to find solutions to business needs using the ServiceNow platform and its components.
  • Create, improve, troubleshoot workflows and business processes in ServiceNow using Flow Designer, AI Agent Studio, and other platform technologies.
  • Maintain and support integrations from ServiceNow to other University systems and platforms using Integration Hub and other technologies.
  • Serve as a key member of ServiceNow platform governance, working with others inside and outside of IT to ensure appropriate security, architecture and data quality.
  • Support the expansion and improvement of the ServiceNow platform and its various components, including evaluating future product roadmap and finding ways to implement modern and innovative features.
  • Contribute to platform technical documentation.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, a related field, or equivalent/combined experience or education.
  • Two years of experience in software development, systems administration, or application administration.
  • Proficiency in ServiceNow scripting/coding languages, such as JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Knowledge of data structures and relational database technologies.
  • Foundational knowledge of security concepts, secure code development techniques, and the development and configuration of software solutions.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to establish strong, positive working relationships and rapport with diverse groups of team members.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience configuring, maintaining, and building on the ServiceNow platform, including within the HRSD and ITSM modules.
  • Experience with ServiceNow platform security, including access control lists (ACLs) maintenance, groups, and user permissions.
  • Experience with software or cloud app development environmental governance, such as moving packages and changesets between development, test, and production environments.
  • Recognized certifications in relevant technologies or platforms, such as a ServiceNow Certified System Administrator or Application Developer certification.
  • Experience in a corporate HR, IT, or higher education environment.

The annual base salary range for this position is $117,879-$123,196. When determining an offer, the University of Southern California considers factors such as the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education, training, key skills, internal peer alignment, applicable laws, contractual requirements, grant funding, and market conditions.
