Insurance & Authorization Specialist Location: InOffice (Hybrid Eligible After 6 Months - Based on Performance) Position Overview This role is ideal for detailoriented professionals with strong customer service skills who are eager to grow into healthcare or insurance administration-including candidates who's work experience comes from retail, hospitality, or customer service. Key Responsibilities * Obtain insurance benefits, authorizations, and precertifications from payer case managers in a timely manner * Review and process service orders submitted by branch locations * Document authorization details, including effective dates, end dates, and payer requirements using internal systems and applications * Maintain accurate and uptodate records through patient notes, workflows, tasks, and communications * Serve as a liaison between branch locations and insurance payers, ensuring timely communication of updates or changes * Access authorization information via phone, email, fax, and online portals efficiently * Resolve customer and internal inquiries professionally and expediently * Independently problemsolve prior to escalating to Supervisor or Manager * Perform eligibility verification and related administrative duties as assigned Required Skills & Qualifications * Strong computer proficiency and ability to quickly learn new systems * High attention to detail and organizational skills * Dependable attendance Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Frederick, MD. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $15.00 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
