Senior Business/Financial Analyst

Genesis10 is seeking a Senior Business/Financial Analyst. This is a hybrid 6-month contract position with a client located in Columbus, OH, or Dallas, TX.

Compensation: $65.00 - 70.00 per hour, W2, depending on skill and experience level.

Role Overview
The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in Finance and Operations analysis, preferably within financial services or a technology organization supporting a financial services enterprise.
This role partners closely with Technology, Finance, Accounts Payable, and other stakeholders to deliver operational reporting while improving reporting structures to drive efficiency. Over time, the role will evolve from an individual contributor to a team lead position.

Key Responsibilities

• Expertise in financial analysis, including approval-to-spend, expense management, budgeting, and procure-to-pay processes.
• Lead business analysis efforts for the Technology line of business, focused on expense management and budgeting.
• Partner with Finance and Technology teams to review budget and approval-to-spend requests and ensure financial alignment.
• Provide guidance and best practices with a strong executive presence.
• Facilitate meetings, presentations, and updates for senior leaders and key stakeholders.
• Manage and update budget items throughout the year, analyzing changes and financial impacts.
• Support team leads by assisting with oversight and coaching of junior team members.
• Query databases, validate data, and troubleshoot reporting anomalies.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for the BMO Technology team, balancing service and efficiency.
• Manage competing priorities, assess risk, and help re-prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
• Design and improve business processes, reports, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and quality.
• Translate complex data into clear insights for Technology leadership.

• 8+ years of financial analysis experience within banking or financial services (this is not a finance role).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate the "so what" to non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven experience with data analysis, expense management, and budgeting.
• Ability to lead, mentor, and coach team members.
• Strong critical thinking, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple initiatives and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Preferred location: Columbus, OH or Dallas, TX.

• Strong experience with Tableau and Power BI
• Familiarity with ServiceNow
