Job Description

Staff-level accounting/tax operations support role focused on preparation, payments, and coordination of work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pull and compile general ledger (G/L) detail to support tax and regulatory filings.
  • Populate required forms and scheduled using financial data.
  • Prepare and process check requisitions and EFT payments.
  • Coordinate closely with Accounts Payable (A/P) to ensure timely and accurate payments.
  • Partner with internal accounting teams on 1) Schedule T preparation, 2) annual statement support and 3) gathering finalized return data.
  • Extract and organize information after final tax returns/annual statements are completed.
  • Maintain organized documentation and support audit/compliance inquiries as needed.
  • Provide general accounting and operational support in support of senior team members.
  • Support process improvement and documentation where applicable.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in accounting operations, financial reporting support, or tax or regulatory support (preferred).
  • Working knowledge of general ledger systems, payment processing (checks, EFT) and basic accounting principles.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with financial data.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with accounting, tax and A/P teams.
  • Insurance or premium tax experience is a strong plus (not required).
