| Preferred Qualifications |
Strong knowledge of and experience in Horticulture and landscaping techniques and various equipment; and excellent management skills. |
| Position Summary |
This position provides direct supervision over part-time, temporary labor engaged in routine grounds work. Work includes responsibility for supervising and participating in the work of labor crews engaged in the maintenance of shrubs, flower beds, and turf. Work also includes landscaping around facilities. This position is responsible for assuring that workers are promptly on the job with necessary tools and equipment. Specific work assignments that are received at the beginning of each day and occasionally throughout the day as the need arises. Work is reviewed through regular inspections and by observation of results obtained. |

Be well versed on hazards & safety precautions in general labor and maintenance work. Be familiar with various types of grounds keeping equipment. |

Working outside under adverse climate conditions; heavy lifting; digging; stooping; squatting; walking; climbing; hands above head; proper use and operations of landscape equipment; driving as needed to perform job tasks. |
